How It Works
Petty drama goes in. The internet brings the verdict.
Petty Verdict is for low-stakes disputes: awkward texts, roommate chaos, office etiquette, fashion takes, and public internet debates that are funny enough to judge without getting serious.
File the case
Ask one clear jury question. Cases go live immediately, then staff review them for safety.
Cast a verdict
Jurors find for the prosecution, find for the defendant, hold both parties in contempt, or dismiss the case. Scores stay sealed until reveal.
Choose the sentence
If the prosecution wins or both parties are in contempt, jurors can submit one sentence or cast one sentence ballot.
Reveal the ruling
When voting closes, the verdict and winning sentence become shareable from the case page.
What makes a good case?
Good
- A clear question that ends with a question mark.
- Low-stakes drama people can understand quickly.
- Redacted names, handles, faces, addresses, and workplaces.
- Public figures only when facts are already public and news-reported.
Bad
- Rumours, private details, or serious accusations.
- Minors, crime, abuse, sexual content, hate, or harassment.
- Anything asking people to contact or attack someone.
- Private screenshots that identify real people.
The short version
Submit petty cases, vote as a juror, help choose the sentence if sentence tools unlock, then come back for the reveal. It is entertainment, not legal advice.
